I’m Marissa, and I’m passionate about creating
I’m a wife, a dog mom, Posie’s mom, and I’m based in Georgia, USA. I’ve loved art in all its forms from a very young age, and through graphic design, I found my passion.
At Helado Amarillo, I love bringing projects to life for people who want their ideas to shine and stand out in the world. Especially for those who dream of starting something of their own and are ready to take that big leap of faith, because I’ve been there, too.
I enjoyed my corporate jobs and learned so much from them, but I always dreamed of building something of my own. I founded Helado Amarillo in 2019, when I was longing for more freedom, both to have more time for my family and to create things I truly loved.
As your designer, my mission is to help you turn your ideas into reality. I’m passionate about supporting fellow creative business owners through branding, design, and illustration, so they can build projects aligned with the life they envision, whether that means having more freedom, finally launching the idea they’ve been putting off, raising their children, traveling, or simply living and working on their own terms.
Why Helado Amarillo?
Yellow (Amarillo) has always been my favorite color, and I’ve always felt connected to what it represents: kindness, energy, positivity, creativity, and joy. I naturally tend to look for the creative side of things or the positive side of any situation, so I thought it would be fun and unexpected to use “Helado” instead of “el lado” (the side).
Fun fact: Helado Amarillo was founded in Guatemala, where I’m from, so the name has always been in Spanish. When I moved to the United States, I knew I wanted to keep that little piece of home and the essence of where it all began. And honestly, it’s a name that represents my essence: playful, creative, optimistic, and a little bit unexpected.

Helado Amarillo’s vision is to become a creative studio known for bringing extraordinary ideas to life through design. We want to inspire through creativity, develop projects with intention, and support people, entrepreneurs, and brands in creating visual experiences that tell stories, spark emotions, and stay with you long after they’re seen.

MY PERSONALITY
I’d describe myself as charismatic and sociable, while also being a bit of an introvert. I love creating an atmosphere of trust, and I’m naturally kind, creative, and always ready to explore something new.
From family stationery to branding, everything I create is infused with a little happiness and plenty of positive energy.
